Demmitt, St louis
Posted By: keyway
At a show today a dealer had a Demmitt, St Louis Graded SGC 20 for $2,000. Polar Bear back. No paper loss. Crease upper left corner, rather large. General wear. Thoughts? Frank

Demmitt, St louis
Posted By: Steven Finley
Although the price is slightly high, it's not outrageous by "Buy it now" standards. Demmitt "St. Louis" ranks up there in the top five of T206 rarities... to me. Is that price several hundred above the recent market price? Yes. But as is evident in the pre-war market, all it takes is someone with the cash and the desire for the card to make that selling price the recent standard. Also considering 50% of the hobby shops and dealers I visit slap ungraded poor T206 commons in Lucite screwdowns and label them "100 years old! $600" it's not an obnoxious markup.
