Babe Ruth's First Yankee Card?
Posted By: mark s.
gentlemen, thanks for your responses.
altho the mendelsohn (m-101-6) was probably produced early in 1920, i would consider it more of an "exhibit" or a "premium" (edited to add: Identified in American Card Catalog as "Photo Card Premiums") than a "card" because of it's sheer size (4 3/8 x 6 1/2)...
what is the hobby consensus?
also, despite sporting red (sox?) sleeves, ruth's w514 example declares him to be the "home run KING"...
wouldn't it be more likely that the title was bestowed AFTER the 1920 season, and this card produced subsequently?
