1933 U.S. Caramel Scarcity VS 1933 Goudey etc
Posted By: Richard
Greetings fellow collectors. I know it was settled that the 1932 U.S. Caramel set was actually issued circa 1933. I would like to hear some opinions on scarcity of the 1933 U.S. Caramels VS the 1933 Goudey, 1933 R305 Tattoo's, 1933 Delong, 1933 George C. Miller etc. I believe the U.S. Caramels are much scarcer then the gum cards as it was issued in very limited quantites when compared to these Bubblegum cards. Hence, I think the demand is greater for the star cards of this set vs the other gum sets from 1933. I would be interested to hear some comments and opinions on the set. I think there is a nice following of collectors for this U.S. caramel issue.
Thanks

Posted By: Richard
Jim, I deinately agree there. I have searched ebay many times in the past several years only to ever find a handfull of U.S. Caramels vs the 1933 Goudey set. I kinda like them with the sharp red backgrounds. They background is similar to Crackerjack sets minus the name. Very cool set. Thanks for the post.
