There seems to be quite a few deckle-edged snapshots floating around eBay these days, all from about the same era (circa 1938-40). I think I've seen at least a hundred of them, and almost all are from the National League. Many of the them are signed. I'm curious if they all come from the same source ...

But the name Jeep Handley is very familiar to me, since, although he played when I was very young, I was an early radio fan. I can still hear Rosey Rowswell's scratchy "Handley gets it, and over to first in time for the putout." (No, my memory's not that good -- Rosey used the same formula for everybody ...
