T206 Uncorrected Error???
Posted By: <b>ChiSoxFan</b><p>While doing some research on the players in the T206 set, I came across the <b>ELLAM, Nashville</b> card. According to various sources it is Roy Ellam.<br /><br />However, while looking at the SABR minor league database there was no Roy Ellam playing for Nashville during 1909-1912. The other players in the T206 listed with Nashville are on the roster. Roy Ellam did play for Nashville but it was not until 1916-1920, well after T206 was finished.<br /><br />While during further research, I did find that Roy Ellam played for Birmingham (SL) in 1909-1915. Also during 1909 he played for the Cincinnati Reds.<br /><br />So, should Roy Ellam have been listed with Birmingham (<b>ELLAM, Birmingham</b>) in lieu of Nashville for the T206 set? I have not been able to find anything that would suggest that Roy was with the Nashville team for a short while and to have never played a game so his T206 card would have Nashville has the team's city.<br /><br />Does anyone have any information on this?
