T206 Carl Lundgren SGC 40 with Piedmont 350 Back

Posted By: James Feagin
Hello,

This is James from Huggins and Scott Auctions. I'm posting a 1910 T206 Carl Lundgren (Chicago on Shirt) SGC 40 with a Piedmont 350 advertising reverse. It is our understanding that this card was released in Piedmont 350 as a Kansas City subject. From what we've researched and have been told, this card with the Chicago front and Piedmont 350 back is extremely scarce. For those experts on board, we wanted to give a heads up on a confirmed copy and would also appreciate any insight as to other confirmed copies or how rare this piece is? We also picked up a Walter Johnson SGC 84 Factory 42 as well and these cards will be featured in our October auction. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

James

Posted By: Scot Reader
James,

Lundgren (Chicago) is available with Piedmont 150, Piedmont 350 and EPDG. The number of Piedmont 150s dwarfs the number of Piedmont 350s and EPDGs combined--perhaps by a factor of 15. There are no Hindus, Sweet Caps or Sovereigns to my knowledge.

I have seen two Johnson (Pitching) Piedmont 42s--one in PSA 7 and one poor ungraded.

Scot

Edited to add: I suspect your SGC 84 Johnson is the same one that used to be in a PSA 7 holder.
