The only bearded player from the 1910's-30's that comes to mind is a guy named Allen "Stuffy" Benson, but he doesn't have a card. He was a farm boy from South Dakota who pitched very, very briefly for the 1934 Senators. I have a nice House of David team postcard with a whole lineup of good-looking fuzzy guys!

He signed my index cards and sent five extras! I was under the impression that he was no longer in good health, as your grandmother (?) answered my questions on his behalf.<br /><br />Out of curiosity, why did he choose to sport a beard? As I said earlier in this thread, I believe he was the only player of his era to do so, so it interests me.<br /><br />Take care!<br /><br />Jodi
