1910 ? Brush Automobile - REA Lot 194
Posted By: Bill Stone
Last year we had a discussion about the Brush Automobile postcards. There was a good deal of discussion about the dating of the postcards. As I recall because of the inclusion of Thomas it was thought that they should be dated 1908 rather than 1910. It has been a year and since a new group of cards is now up for auction I thought I would see if anyone has additional research or thoughts on the postcards. I think they are fabulous and glad to see all 10 at once.

1910 ? Brush Automobile - REA Lot 194
Posted By: Bill Stone
By the way, Noel Barrett currently has a 1907 Brush automobile up for auction --it would look great with these 1908/1910 postcards. Whoever beats me for these cards might want to buy the car and create a very special display .

1910 ? Brush Automobile - REA Lot 194
Posted By: Don Fluckinger
I like changing it 1908-10 for the 2009 edition of the Standard Catalog. That or busting them out into a 1908 set and a 1910 set.

I have been discussing this with some folks via email threads and the prevailing wisdom is a strong guess that it's a multiple-year set, that's why there are multiple poses of some of the same players...(and cross checking with the rosters and copy on the cards, i.e. who won championships when).

Does this sound right to you all? I am open to debate and certainly if someone's got a solid rationale for doing it some other way, please bring it up now before those presses get a-rolling!
