Posted By: Fred C
It's a Maroons card with a really nice image. I was watching that one and the Moffet (Indy). I was so engrossed in a roto-league draft I forgot about them. I was going to bid on both. I wouldn't have won the Nicholson but I would have bid up Jay on the other card. Both cards have some great images. I really wanted that Moffet... If you're reading - Nice pick ups, Jay.

Posted By: Dan Bretta
I won three Omaha N172s from this same seller last week and I went and picked them up as the town the seller lives in is only about 50 miles away from me. Fremont has a bunch of great antique stores so I go up there often. I asked him if he had any other baseball cards and he said he didn't, but that he had a lot of 19th century nonsport cards like Buffalo Bill. I'm guessing this guy really has no clue what all he has.

Posted By: leon
I was the underbidder on the Moffit card...and was 1/4 of the way on the Nicholson. I spoke with the winner this morning as I was surprised this card went that high. I am now under the impression that not all maroons are created equally. Great photos on these 2 cards....regards

Posted By: barrysloate
There are easy Maroons and hard Maroons. That I know. I have a Maroons player on ebay right now, Schoeneck. He is doing well but he's not in Nicholson territory and he won't be.

Posted By: Dan Bretta
The seller is a real nice fellow who happens to work for an auction company. These cards were found at John Brown's cave in Nebraska City, NE. The cave was used as part of the Underground Railroad to help escaped slaves.
