1928 Babe Ruth Candy. The new Fro-Joy's.
Posted By: Steve
Olebbstuff! just made a 10,000% profit on this counterfeit card on the bottom. Most buyers knew to stay away, but all it takes is one. Free money, Hell yea!

Posted By: fkw
The fakes have been all over ebay for the last few months. They are basically killing the value of the authentic cards (similar to the Fro-Joys).

Both of these sets are actually rare. Lipset estimated there were less than 50 of the GHRuth Candy cards out there (Vol 2 Encyclopedia of Baseball cards, 1984). I think there are more, but not a whole lot more.

Posted By: fkw
The card on top (authentic) just went for $46.

Why do the reprints sell for 5X more than the authentic ones.

Collectors are scared of this issue.

Posted By: fkw
Its the same type as one Ive owned for a long time.

Same color, and font etc. Also it has a full uncropped picture.

Here is another SF back

These are the sepia types with SF back. I always look for these and they are very tough. I only see maybe 2 a year of this type.
