Cracker Jacks & Federal Leagues

Posted By: Andy Cook
I just got a 1915 Cracker of George Mullin and it shows him on the Indianapolis Federals. Didn't the Indy franchise move to Newark for the 1915 season? If so, do we know the approximate print date of the 1915 Cracker Jacks vs. the move date of the franchise? Are there other Cracker Jacks with players depicted on teams for whom they did not play in that year?

Andy

Posted By: Anthony N.
<<For the 1915 season, the Federal League started to look into placing a team in the New York City market. The Newark team was originally going to be transplants of the Kansas City Federal League team. But when the backers of the Kansas City franchise started to resist, the League decided to move the Indianapolis franchise to Newark.

The Newark Peppers were owned by oil baron Harry Sinclair.>>

An excellent Federal League site
http://www.toyou.com/fl/index.cfm
