Posted By: David Smith
Well, there is your answer right there. If the seller KNOWS about grading companies then WHY would he offer something like this Ruth card ungraded??

There is a BIG difference between somebody like my Mother, for instance, finding a bunch of Ruth cards and selling them on eBay and a guy like this. My Mother knows enough about baseball to know that Ruth was a big name player and that his cards are worth big money. She does NOT now enough to get them graded and who to trust to do so. To her PSA and SGC would be just as good as CSA and the company the rip-off artist Roy Huff started and uses to "grade" newspaper cut-outs.

So, if this guy knows about PSA and DOES NOT have these Ruth cards graded, you KNOW there is something wrong.

David

Posted By: Paul
I'm not sure that "bar & grill" was a commonly used phrase in 1927. Also, while not out of the question, it seems a little odd that a Brooklyn bar would distribute a Ruth premium at a time when Brooklyn had its own team.
