Posted By: Dwight Davis
This is the back of a T206 Isbell, Chicago. Wondering if anyone is familiar with name stamp "Richard Montague." Appears to be a Boy Scout symbol at the end of the last name.

Posted By: Dwight Davis
I was hoping someone would recognize this name as a vintage collector. Obviously not.
Perhaps it is the Richard Montague who was one of the most renowned theorists of our time. I'm doing some research.
Or, alas, may be the stamp of Dan's college roommate.
Thanks

Posted By: leon
Never hurts to ask.....Lots of stamps on these old cards of ours...most are just regular old stamps and don't really add a lot to them.....but I, and many board members, like the ones with significance....Good luck finding more info on it...

Posted By: T206Collector
The symbol is the fleur de lys, which was also the logo on the old St. Louis Browns jerseys and caps. It is a common symbol and if you google image "fleur de lys" you will see a zillion different examples.

But I don't know the Richard Montague who stamped your card.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Visit http://www.t206collector.com for my blog, interviews, articles, card galleries and more!

Posted By: Dwight Davis
Very helpful. I knew someone on the board would have some insight. Could be a case-breaker. Thought I was going to have to call David Carradine (Wonderful T206 Website, btw).
