HOF 19th century players
Posted By: Fred C
Last 19th century player inducted was Bid McPhee in 2000.

Prior to that was:

Frank Selee (1999). He was inducted as a manager.
George Davis (1998). His career was in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Ned Hanlon (1996). He was inducted as a manager.
William Hulbert (1995). Inducted as an executive.

Then there's a long stretch until about 1977.
Amos Rusie (1977). Player, but he did play 3 games in the majors in the 20th century.

Roger Connor (1976). He was the last previous 19th century only player previous to McPhee. I'm sure that Amos Rusie pretty much could be considered the last of the 19th century only players inducted but he did technically play 3 games in 1901.

Mickey Welch (1973). Player
Joe Kelley (1971). Both 19th and 20th centuries as a player.
Jake Beckley (1971). Player
Pud Galvin (1965). Player
John Ward (1964). Player
Tim Keefe (1964). Player
Elmer Flick (1963). Both 19th and 20th centuries as a player.
John Clarkson (1963). Player
Billy Hamilton (1961). Both 19th and 20th centuries as a player. Mostly 19th century.

You can check the HOF listings for the rest of the 19th century players inducted prior to 1960....
