1934-36 Diamond Stars Photo References?
Posted By: Mike
Just a thought, but unlike Goudey's and Play Ball's where you will occasionally come across the photographs used to create the artwork for the cards, such as a Conlon or George Burke photograph, I haven't seen many original images used for the creation of the Diamond Stars set.

Does anyone have any, and if so please post!

1934-36 Diamond Stars Photo References?
Posted By: Brad Green

Here's something interesting (at least to me)... On the left is Lefty's 1933 Worch Cigar and on the right is Lefty's Diamond Star card. Unless I'm way out in left field, the picture used to make the Worch Cigar card was used to make the Diamond Star card. However, since Lefty was traded to the Red Sox between the issue dates of the Worch Cigar and the Diamond Star card, the artist drew Lefty in a Red Sox uniform on the Diamond Star although he is shown in his Athletics uniform on the Worch Cigar card.
