Posted By: Matt
The Indians lost that series more then the Sox won it - if their 1 and 2 starters hadn't choked, there wouldn't even have been 6 games. And don't tell me that it was great hitting that toasted those 2 starters because the Sox had problems with Paul Byrd and Jake Westbrook.

Posted By: Bob
The Red Sox have gone from a scruffy bunch of lovable characters to just as much penthouse millionaires as the Yankees. Every year since 1958 I have rooted for the American league team in the WS (being an AL guy) but this year I have officially become a small market rooter and will be rooting for the Rockies. The total payroll for Colorado, Cleveland and Arizona combined is less than that of the buy-a-pennant Red Sox. I expect to see them buy Tori Hunter over the winter and spend a zillion dollars doing so while the Yankees keep pace with their acquisitions. Here's hoping the Brew Crew and Twins are in the Series next year!
