Posted By: Elise Demeter
My grandmother gave me a set of these they come in a red box and still have the instructions for the game inside - there are 54 cards all in amazing condition. Anyways my question is what are these worth as a set? I will add some pictures soon.

Thank you in advance

Posted By: Jim VB
The 2007 SCD Standard Catalog lists the set on page 308. It's actually 30 different players and 24 duplicates with different game plays.

They estimate the boxed set at $6650 in NM condition, $3325 IN EX, or $2000 in VG.

It should also be listed in the 2008 catalog, but if you email me directly, I'll send you a copy of LY's listing.

Jim VB

Posted By: Elise Demeter
Thank you everyone for your awesome comments... I really had no clue what these cards were worth and honestly did not think they were worth much so I am sure glad I am doing my research before I just threw them up on ebay.

As for handling the cards they are on lockdown now and are not being touched unless they HAVE to be.

Like I said before thank you so much for your comments and for the emails I have recieved giving great advice I do appreciate it alot!

You are asking someone that came on the board 5 1/2 yrs ago a question about something they probably sold 5.49 yrs ago. That person probably hasn't been back to this site since then. This thread is very old.

Great item

Elise had a great item there. I'm glad this post made it back up so I could see it. I wonder what it brought at auction?

I can't think of another pre-war set that looks so cool, yet is so affordable ...

Jaybird 12-11-2012 05:10 PM

$13K after the commission.
