Posted By: <b>Brett</b><p>Kind of off topic, but some of you collect boxing cards. This is part of the 1897 fight bewtween Jim Cotbett and Bob Fitzimmons. I thought this was old, but the earliest surviving footage in general is from 1888. Just think, old judge cards were new back then !<br /><br /><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37OcLWu1T_E" target="_new" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37OcLWu1T_E</a>

Posted By: <b>judson hamlin</b><p>Does anyone know where Edison filmed that? The second runner in the film has "Newark" on his uniform. Given that Edison's lab complex was in West Orange, I will guess that it was filmed around Essex County, NJ. Any clues as to league?
