What a PSA 10 Pre-War Card Looks Like
Posted By: Gilbert Maines
Jim: that is because you appreciate that card.
Another collector may have his level of interest for that player in that set top out at $30., for example. The card's actual grade does not matter to everyone. For me, once a card is over Ex, I really see no difference, because I look for none. Ex is a tremendous example of a card, imo. And nit picking every real and imagined flaw is not what I collect for.

What a PSA 10 Pre-War Card Looks Like
Posted By: Al C.risafulli
I can understand questioning the grading business, and the values collectors assign to a "Gem Mint" versus a "Near Mint" card.

What I can't understand is pissing in a guy's Wheaties just for the purpose of doing it, particularly when that guy has been roundly criticized for not sharing his cards, which he is now doing with enthusiasm.

"Nice cards, Jim, thanks for taking the time to scan and share them" is just such better form.

Dan, you know I've got a ton of respect for you - and I know you're exaggerating. So if you get any Playballs in this kind of condition, I'll gladly pay you twice what you say they're worth.

-Al

What a PSA 10 Pre-War Card Looks Like
Posted By: T206Collector
This Board spends so much time on pre-WWI cards, it is nice to see some pre-WWII cards once in awhile, particularly stunning examples of cards that we haven't seen before. The nice thing about grading commons is that it makes you focus on an otherwise unknown player's card a little bit longer to find that hidden beauty.

Posted By: Jason L
What am I talking about?
a) I'm excited that the day you start scanning and sharing your collection has finally arrived!
b) That there are people who find any and every one of your posts as an invitation to antagonize (and yet, I do understand jealousy as a root cause for questionable behavior)
c) My Cubbies are still in the hunt in late August
d) The staying power of the Michael Vick story
e) All of the Above!!!

Thanks...really cool stuff!

also:
1) Agreed regarding Mr. Crisafulli. I don't know him too well, but his was an early inspration to create my own website
2) When is you website coming??? There is no better way to get your fix while at work or on the road!

PS - I know this is over the top Pro-Jim Crandell, but geez...I think the other side has been covered. I don't know you, nor do I profess, but your sharing a collection like this is of value to all, even if most don't want to admit it.
