Find another movie that mentions Buck Ewing by name.

I also seem to recall in the early 1980s the television show "Hart to Hart" had a whole episode about baseball cards.

He says he has players that are not in that set but that is def what they are. Also, Lous woulda been about 13 in that scene so there ya go.<br />Also, In "a christmas story" you can see a t206 and a 1940 playball tacked to ralphies bedpost.<br />ALSO,<br />there is an 80's twilight zone episode about a guy obsessed with old baseball cards. His ex wife burns them all and he kills her I think? Anways, the payoff, he ends up going back in time and being a ball player on one of the cards. Clearly shows Goudeys for sure.

So, forget what they looked like.<br /><br />And, his age in that scene is really uncertain. He could have been 10 years old or 14. In any event, T206's just didn't vanish<br /> by circa 1915. He mentions random players because that is in the scipt and has no connection to the cards that are barely shown (I actualyl paused it and stuck my head up to the tv to determine they were m's that the actor is actually holding. What they have on film and what they wrote in the script are two different things all together.<br />

Steve had the card in a 1/2" lucite screw down and they actually showed the card.<br /><br />My input for the day.<br />-Kyle

I knew Lou was referring to them as Tobacco cards.<br />I didn't recall seeing the cards, but I was certain about his words....which included Matty<br /> and Wagner. And, you don't forget the name of Wagner when associated with Tobacco cards.<br /><br />And, I am certain when I say Matty was not in the M101-4 (or -5) sets.<br /><br />TED Z
