Not the end of life as we know it,,,,,but
Posted By: Mike
Does it bug anyone else that many sellers have to give all life time stats, and long....life stories for hall of famers, and high priced cards ? I mean if some one is going to buy a Ruth or Gehrig card, shouldn't they already be aware of who the player is, and what they accomplished ? How many times do I have to read that Foxx was known as the "Beast"? Or that Lou was known as the "Iron Horse"? I should already know that, shouldn't I ? Sorry, but it bugs me. There, I feel so much better now. I have always thought that it was rediculous. Am I wrong ?

Posted By: David Smith
Whenever I see a LOT of hype in an auction listing (or hear a defendant yammering on and on while on Television) I think of Shakespeare. "Me thinks he doth protest too much".

When I get that feeling, then I think they are covering something up or trying to take the attention away from the item listed or issue being discussed and move it somewhere else.

Just my two cents,

David
