It looks like a picture of Cobb taken from either a Spaulding or Reach Guide or some other type of publication and glued onto a non-sport card. The back is the back of an Arm & Hammer Soda card set that is cataloged in the ACC as J16 Beautiful Flowers.

(See link below for similar cards.) The back of the Cobb card in that auction, however, does not match the back of the card from the Sports Card News magazine. But, here's Lefty's Sports Card News card from 1992. There was never an authentic card of Lefty Grove that looked anything like this card. Haven't surprised me for many many years, and unfortunately, I still assume most are rogues until found to be otherwise...It was crappy folks that drive me away in my teen years and I was lucky to find my way back via this Board.<br /><br />thanks for posting though...all information is helpful!<br /><br />
