Posted By: Al.S
Hi Wesley sure looks like my old friend Cy Young. It was a great pin to have,I think that one has the other back coverlet paper. If you remove it there should be a nice cameo pepsin paper under that! The 2 pins I enjoyed most were Young and ewing. Great imigages! I hope you enjoy it I had for the last 30 years. I would love to know who won all the others? Any more on this Board. I know Leon was on my large lot for a time but told me he didnt win it.I do have 2 left A Hoy and a Wood.Nice center piece for a collection! Sounds to me you may own it for a long time!!

Posted By: Tom Boblitt
looks familiar.......I think I traded mine to Andy Baran or maybe you Rhett. Don't remember. Had about 15 of them at one time. Sold mine in REA last auction (4/2006). They are fantastic pins. Hope whoever got your big lot enjoys them. That was a reasonable price at about $500 per. They are tough to find anymore. If you don't have that Smithsonian book, get it because there are some fantastic photos of Rob Lifson's Cameos in there. Not sure if he still has those or not and I'd doubt it but they are blazers.
Posted By: Al S
Hi Phil,
Glad you liked the Jennings! It was always a little light in the photo Ah but what a great pin. Glad they are all going to some great collections! As I always said when people would say the photo is a little light on the pin my reply would always be Yes its is but try and find another!!! Regards Al

Posted By: Phil Garry
Al:

I agree with you, we should appreciate these rare collectibles for what they are and not always look to find something to complain about. I was thrilled with the Jennings because it pre-dated my next earliest card of his (1907) by NINE YEARS!!!!
