Posted By: T206Collector
In an effort to consolidate the current Mastro/REA threads, which are filled with gripes about Mastro's inefficient bidding system, I thought we should have a thread just for posting your pickups. Posted By: Jeff Lichtman
Sorry, Daniel. I was the underbidder on the Plows Cobb...was about to pull the trigger to get it...literally about to press the button...and I just wasn't feeling it for some reason. And I made a decision a few months back to change my collection around...get rid of the stuff that didn't totally excite me...and while the Plows Cobb excited me...it didn't excite me enough...so I grabbed the Orange borders. REA for today will be interesting as well.

I can't believe I was able to buy one in high grade.

The Mathewson is impossible to find in high grade, but I think this one has great eye appeal and for more than $2,500 less than the 30 that went in the Mastro auction I couldn't pass it up.

I picked up this lot of Colgan's Chip proof cards because I have never owned proofs and I really like thc concept. I bid aggressively on the Cobb proof in Mastro, but it seemed liked the high bidder wasn't going to be denied on that one.

Another addition to my top 200 sportscard set.
