Question on 1916 BF2 pennants
Posted By: Neal
Pennants are not my expertise and I have a question regarding the 1916 BF2 pennants. Wondering if the front side of the pennant is clean and picture is really nice should the image appear on the back side of the pennant. I have a few and don't see the image on the back side.

Thanks for all your help!

Question on 1916 BF2 pennants
Posted By: Rhett Yeakley
The image on BF2's is merely paper applied to the front (often you will find nice pennants where the picture portion has damage--something one should definately be taking into consideration when grading the piece). One will not be able to see the image on back
-Rhett

Question on 1916 BF2 pennants
Posted By: Steve M.
As pointed out in the prior post the pictures are affixed to the felt. What you are seeing is probably the glue, paste, musilage, or whatever used to affix the picture.

Question on 1916 BF2 pennants
Posted By: MikeB
The white pennants can have problems with "bleeding" from the photo area
and lettering on the front. The picture you show, may be some of this going
to the back of the pennant. On the front it is ugly, and a reason some
bf2 collectors don't like the white pennants. What is showing up on the
back does not bother me as a collector of bf2's.

Mike
