Leaf Premiums ?

Posted By: steve
I realize slightly post-war, but, anyone familiar with 1949 Leaf Premiums ? From what I understand they are postcard size and rare. How rare? How distributed, or what was needed to send in for this Premium? Has PSA graded many? Thanks, Steve.

Leaf Premiums ?

Posted By: davidcycleback
If you're talking about the Leaf 'Baseball Imortals' premiums of Christy Mathewson, etc, I heard they were distributed to stores one per wax box of regular Leaf cards. It was recommended, not required, that the store owner give the premium to the kid who bought the last wax pack in the box. Either way, a kid got the premium from the store where he bought a Leaf pack.
