Posted By: Fred Y
Am wondering if I violated a Board rule by asking this question or posting a link to the EBay Board. It is the only post on the page w/out a reply.

I'm an infrequent poster but a long time Board reader & don't want to do wrong!

If so, please advise & delete.

Posted By: RC Mckenzie
Fred, I used to ask questions that no one had the answer to, and got few responses so, I started asking easier questions... I can't help you on that card. I agree from the other board that it might be 30's 40's though. But, that kinda stuff is way out of line with what I know about. regards

edit my guess to 50's\\

2nd edit to guess 1975

Posted By: Fred Y
Thanks Dan--

Can you direct me to which '75 set?

I went thru the SCD Bible & didn't see any w/ the copy "Old Time Ballplayers" at the top. Of course some of them aren't pictured.

Would like to pin it down!
Posted By: fkw
I saw the post on eBay but couldnt answer it. If it is a TCMA it is one not listed in catalogs. TCMA does use the "Pct." on a couple of its 1970s era issues.

But I also did cut out everything post 1980 in my book.

Posted By: Bruce Babcock
The image is from the M101-2 set. Below is info from the Old Cardboard site.

Year(s) Published: 1909-13
ACC Designation: M101-2
Set Name: Sporting News Supplements
Card Size (inches): 8 x 10
Number of Cards in Set: 100
Est. Value (common; VG): $16

Set Summary

# Second major supplement series issued by The Sporting News
# Borderless eight-by-ten-inch images printed on heavy paper
# Vast majority of the M101-2 cards were blank-backed
# Promotion offered with $2 annual subscription

This card is from a modern issue reprinting the same pose. I'm not familiar enough with TCMA to know for sure if it is TCMA or someone else.
