For anyone interested in some of the lesser known players of the deadball era, this is a must. I am sure that it is available through Amazon

I would love to see this type of book expanded into perhaps a "nineteenth century stars of the major leagues" then they could go even further back and do a "Pioneering stars of the National Pastime"....once they finish that they could hit the 1920-40 era.

Posted By: <b>barrysloate</b><p>You should get both 19th century books because there is no overlap of players and every one of them includes a photograph, a lengthy biography, and full stats dating back to the 1860's. They are indispensable.
