Does anybody have a scan of these cards?

Posted By: Randy Trierweiler
One project I've been working on the last several years is the All-Time Roster of the St. Louis Cardinals. I have a card, scan, or have created a card for every Cardinal thats played in at least one game from 1892 thru the 2006 season. 1777 players to be exact. Also all 53 Managers and 94 Coaches. During that time I discovered several errors and omissions in the Cardinals Media Guide. I informed them of the errors, they verified them, made the changes, and gave me "Special Thanks" in their 1999 Media Guide.

There are a few players who have a card that I've never seen, they won't be pictured as a Cardinal, but a card exists of them. If anybody has a scan of any of these cards, I would be grateful to see it.

1898 Cameo Pepsin: Nig Cuppy, Jake Stenzel
1916 D381 Fleishmans: Herb Hunter
1911 E254 Colgans: Bill Byers
1905 Indians PC PC785: Red Donahue
1908 Indy PC: Carl Druhot, Perry Werden
1893 Just So: Nig Cuppy
1894 Senators Cabinet: Tim O'Rourke
1910 T209: Dan McGheehan
1898 W600: Ducky Holmes
1906 W600: Jack Slattery
Zeenut: Art Delaney (1925-26,31-32), Dutch Distel (1924), Finners Quinlan (1914, 16-18), George Lyons (1921-23), James Brown (1922-23), Jesse Fowler (1926), Jimmy Hudgens (1927-28), John Vann (1916), Milt Reed (1915), Oscar Horstmann (1916), Pete Stanridge (1913-14, 16-18), Wally Mattick (1916-17)

Thanks for any scans you may have. Randy

edited to put Randy's email address in (leon)

Posted By: Randy Trierweiler
Barry, none of the listed cards will be pictured as a Cardinal. For pre-1920 pics, I just take what I get. These scans will help me replace a "homemade" card.

Does anybody have a scan of these cards?

Posted By: Frank Wakefield
Hey there. Been a Cardinal fan since seeing Mr. Musial play in 1963. I'd love to get a list of your players. I've worked a bit on autographs of the guys, and I use a photocopy of the all time roster from the Cardinals Encyclopedia, a 1999 book. If you have it, you can see my Orsatti bat and some of my Goudey cards that are on loan to the St. Louis baseball museum. Nice folks there. They listed me in the book credits... Anyway, here's a Stanridge Zeenut. Can you email me your players list??

Thanks.

Frank W.

Posted By: Randy Trierweiler
Hi Frank, I do have that Encyclopedia and I saw your name on page 652 in the credits. There were several errors in this ATR also, they list a William Sommers and a Kid Summers, they are actually the same person. Also, Leonard (first name unknown) who played 1 game in 1892 with no AB is omitted. It took me several years for some reason to get the Cardinals to list Leonard in the Media Guide. I worked with Brian Bartow, the PR director of the Cardinals and he finally got it in there. I would be glad to e-mail you my list, but be advised, it looks like this: There are 4225 entries because I list each player and each year he played with the number of games played each year. This way I can use the sort function to print out a roster of players for any year between 1892 and 2006. It is in a Microsoft database format and should be small enough to e-mail, if not I could mail you a CD. LMK if you want me to try to e-mail it. Thanks for the Standridge pic. (note the card says Stanridge and the Baseball Reference says Standridge).
