Can anyone identify this series?
Posted By: <b>S Gross</b><p>Have no idea of issue, but I'm assuming it's Japanese. So, run down to your local Japanese restaurant and see if anyone can translate the back for you. If it isn't Japanese, they might be able to tell you what language it is, and point you in the right direction.<br /><br />If you do get it translated, post it here, it'd be interesting.<br /><br />

Posted By: <b>Dave G</b><p>but that means I'd have to sit at the sushi bar and consume while they translated it for me <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14><img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14> I like sushi - but not that much.<br /><br />I was sent a link to am English language Japanese baseball site by Ted (?) and have sent a scan of the card front and rear to the site owner for indentification.<br /><br />If I get a translation I'll post it <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14>

JCM50, JGA3, etc.<br /><br />You may want to ask the Japanese card collectors like <a href="http://www.robsjapanesecards.com" target="_new" rel="nofollow">http://www.robsjapanesecards.com</a> about your card.<br /><br /><img src="http://centuryoldcards.com/images/1949japansf.jpeg"><img src="http://centuryoldcards.com/images/1949japansfb.jpeg"><br />an example of a 1949 JGA3 SF Seals (Milo Candini)

Posted By: <b>Richard Masson</b><p>from our Japanese office:<br /><br />" On the left the 2 characters are ‘stick’ and ‘ball’. (“Bo” and “kyu”) The current word for baseball in Japanese is “Ya-kyu”, which means ‘field’ and ‘ball’. The ‘kyu’ is the same character in both. "<br /><br />Now you know as much as I do. It would make sense if this was a series depicting multiple sports.
