Posted By: S Gross
Have no idea of issue, but I'm assuming it's Japanese. So, run down to your local Japanese restaurant and see if anyone can translate the back for you. If it isn't Japanese, they might be able to tell you what language it is, and point you in the right direction.

If you do get it translated, post it here, it'd be interesting.

Posted By: fkw
There is a Japanese Baseball Card Guide with its own numbering system. ie. JCM50, JGA3, etc.

You may want to ask the Japanese card collectors like http://www.robsjapanesecards.com about your card.

an example of a 1949 JGA3 SF Seals (Milo Candini)

Posted By: Richard Masson
from our Japanese office:

" On the left the 2 characters are ‘stick’ and ‘ball’. (“Bo” and “kyu”) The current word for baseball in Japanese is “Ya-kyu”, which means ‘field’ and ‘ball’. The ‘kyu’ is the same character in both. "

Now you know as much as I do. It would make sense if this was a series depicting multiple sports.
