And, in 1928 they<br />issued these little B/W BB cards premiums. The Babe Ruth card is tough to find, simply because<br />you could redeem his card for a quart of ice cream. <br /><br />Also, if you collected all 60 cards in this set, you could redeem them for a gallon of ice cream.<br />I am really surprised that any of these cards ever stayed in circulation.<br /><br />TED Z

I wonder how many stashes of these cards were found over the years from someone intent of putting the set together, but never getting it complete?

Posted By: <b>fkw</b><p>Dan is right, many a time these cards are found in groups on eBay. At least 1-2 times a year Ive seen a half dozen to a dozen of them offered individually in auction by a noncollector who recently discovered them.

Posted By: <b>Steve Parmentier</b><p>These Yuengling cards appear the same as w502 cards. Are these Yuenglings also "strip cards", or are the w502's perhaps not "strip cards" ? The w502's seem pretty well cut, nice and square, like off a sheet. PSA lists the w502's as hand-cut, hmmm.

Posted By: <b>fkw</b><p>Ive never seen a strip of W502s. IMO I believe they are from an anonymous candy or ice cream issue that just didnt put their brand name on the cards. Same thing with the W503 (candy) and W574 (candy?).
