"The Celebrant" for a T206
Posted By: Mike Masinick
Hi guys,
There was a thread a few weeks ago on the main board about the book "The Celebrant" which is a historical fiction novel about Christie Mathewson and a bunch of the other players from 1900-1920 or so. I got it on half.com and just finished it. Very enjoyable book which is (in my opinion) written in the style and feel of F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Anyway, I'm done with the book and I thought I'd pass it on. I'm looking for any T206 card in decent shape. As long as it's not a complete beater, doesn't have any major creases, and it's not one of the 30 or so that I already have, I'll trade the book for it with postage paid. Anyone interested?

mike@cardtarget.com

Posted By: steve f
Mike, Thanks for the review. Santa brung me the Celebrant and several other deadball-eras. Currently deep into the Battle of Dunkirk (heavy read) and can't wait to get back to good ol' baseball.

"The Celebrant" for a T206
Posted By: Mike
It's not an easy read by an means (small print and lots of words on big pages - VERY long chapters, etc.), but it's a very cool story and really gives personalities to a lot of the ballplayers we're all familiar with.
