T 207 brown background Tinker and Chance cards

Posted By: Ken McMillan
Hello,

I have a pair of T207 Recruit little cigar cards from 1912 and was trying to estimimate their value. They are Frank Chance and Joe Tinker. Both cards have no rounding on their corners and the backs are clean. There are no marks on the front, but the fronts have fine crazing on each of the cards. In general, for 95 year old cards, they are in excellent condition. Neither card has been graded, but can be sent in for grading.

Posted By: mark
The bottoms do look cut, if they measure correctly PSA would label it (MC). I sold a PSA 4 t207 tinker last year from the nagy collection for $390.00.

Posted By: Ken McMillan
I will measure the cards before submitting them. I believe I read that the correct measurements should be 1 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inches for these cards. Is this correct?

Ken

Posted By: Bob
PSA may grade them MC but they may not. I have owned and seen a lot of Tinkers with very small or non-existent borders on the bottom so I don't think it is trimmed.

Posted By: Ken McMillan
they measured 1 7/16 inch by 2 5/8 inches. Both cards were identical dimensions and bought from 2 different dealers. interesting as there does not appear to be any evidenec for trimming. I guess the ultimate judge would be SCG of PSA. I like the cards anyway so even if they didn't grade out, no big deal.
