I haven't seen any baseball players wearing shin pads in old photos before..??<br /><br /><br />Daniel

Also, I'm not sure I've ever seen a picture of a football team from any era that didn't wear a shirt that was pullover - turtleneck, t-shirt, sweater, etc.<br /><br />My guess is baseball, very late 19th C.<br /><br />Any idea what the P.H. on the jerseys means? <br /><br />Joann
