Posted By: fkw
Homemade, made from scans of authentic cards. These are the toughest to tell from a scan. At least the seller was honest.

The cards are sold as is."

He knows they're counterfeit and he ain't givin your money back.

Ebay reprints or not?

Posted By: Jeff Drum
I think its the old game of hopefully enticing bidders who may think they guy doesn't know what he has. Create just enough of a doubt to garner considerable bids on reprints. I guess it's ok that the seller states up front that he is selling them as reprints, the question is what does the next guy do?

Posted By: Judge Dred (Fred)
When the seller gives you a clue that it's a reprint then take them at thier word.

Over a year ago I'm pretty sure this same seller did the same thing but was very vague about the possibility of the cards being reprints.

This is all garbage. Sellers like this prey on people that are stupid enought to ignore their warnings that these are reprints. There's always going to be that greedy person thinking about making a killing and they will get burned with these.

Posted By: Jim Clarke
I know I will not be bidding on any of his listings. I thought he worded it pretty good though. I bet you he will get 3 times what the current bids are right now on his items. Most of the winners probally will not have more than 30 feedback.. I'm hoping he did not take the image off my N173 Ewing w/mascot card..

Posted By: davidcycleback
Rule of thumb for baseball card collecting is when the seller says it's a reprint, take him at his word. eBay sellers make make up stories about their cards being real, not reprints.

Posted By: davidcycleback
I should add that, as far as I've seen on eBay, only scam artists use the word 'replica' to describe a baseball card. There are replica watches and replica doll houses and replica Civil War swords, but replica isn't in the baseball card hobby's normal vocabulary ... It's kind of like if someone referred to "G. Herman Ruth." That's literally accurate, but it's fair to assume the person isn't a baseball fan.
