What you see aint what you get
Posted By: Gilbert Maines
I wonder how many of us are holding cards which we think represents a specific player, but it does not even contain his image. The Irv/Cy stuff was today's comedy. But how many of us know that a 1921 Exhibit of Shanks is really Wally Schang? Or worse - why would anyone care? But we do.

I realize that this is documented in the SC, but all of his cards command somewhat of a premium because of the unassisted triple play. I have never seen a seller disclose this information (wrong player pictured) on eBay. His actual image is used on e220's and V117's.

The Colgan's Hinchman is listed as Harry in most of the checklists but is actually brother Bill.
