Posted By: <b>robert a</b><p>T209, E100, and other minor league issues must've been printed on cheaper stock since they tend to have the same flaking around the borders which leads to the low grades. <br /><br />T213-1 and E97 B & W could be added to the list due to the very thin stock that makes them very difficult to find in high grade.<br /><br />

I sorta feel you can find examples from the other sets that look nice but when was the last time you saw a Lections that wasn't hideous?

Posted By: <b>barrysloate</b><p>Brian could have included E221 Bishops, which due to their size and paper content are almost always beat up. I remember having two beauties about 10 years ago, but most range poor to good. But they are currently unslabbable (is that a word?).

These cards are just beat all to heck. I would love to see a high grade one if anyone here has one to share. <br /><br />E107s are tough but high grade has been seen and auctioned off. Along with the others - there may not be many around but we have all seen one at one time or another.<br /><br />Lections - I think - are the clear vote.<br><br>.

I saw it about 3-4 years ago, but lost the picture.<br /><br />I believe the kids kept them in their pockets on a daily basis and got them cancelled with holepunches sometimes after redeaming them for something. ????<br /><br />It would have to be something like that since the Lections card stock is one of the thickest and sturdiest Ive seen, and most are all beat up with creases.

Off the top of my head, I remember there is a 50, maybe some 40's and a 20 (and two 10's)? However, SGC HAMMERED them. I have a Hornsby with a little pencil writing on the front - I think "1.80" is written and they would only give it a 10. Had I, dare I say, erased the pencil before submitting, it would surely have been a 50, too. The one I have that is a 50 is gorgeous. To how it only got a 50 is beyond me - I can't figure out the grading sometimes. None of the ones I have are punched. My Ruth is rough - lots of creases. I have never seen the nice Ruth. I know of one other Ruth that isn't punched and it is as bad as mine.
