Posted By: Neal
Hello All,

My uncle has had in his possession for several years these 2 baseball bats I believe are from the 1940s. One bat says Ny World Champions 1941 and the other says Champion American League Hitters with no year no it. Both bats are in pretty amazing condition. Your help would be much appreciated as always!

Thankshttp://www.network54.com/Realm/tmp/1162151829.JPG

Need you help in ID these bats
Posted By: Dan Bretta
The one you have pictured here is a 1941 World Series Black Bat - They were only given to players, coaches and others associated with the team. Value on these bats vary, but the one you have I would guess is in the $500-$700 range. Can you post a picture of the other bat?

Need you help in ID these bats
Posted By: Dan Bretta
I've never seen that AL Batting champs bat before so I can't comment, but H&B made these bats for Hall of Fame ceremonies, MVP Selections and others. They are pretty collectible to the right person....Here's an auction with both the 1941 WS teams that sold for nearly $2,000.

http://cgi.ebay.com/1941-Dodger-Yanks-World-Series-Black-Baseball-Bats_W0QQitemZ200037924749QQihZ010QQcategoryZ50125 QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
