And yes, the Long one. And the isle of Staten, the compliment to Queens; ie. Kings.<br /><br />Edited to add:<br /><br />All surrounding the epicenter, located in the fifth largest city in America: the Sloate House of Brooklyn.

Posted By: <b>Gilbert Maines</b><p>I believe Frank that the chronology will reveal that the Bronx and Queens are the bouroughs which were originally used as the dumps for garbage generated by Brooklynites and those from Manhattan.<br />As those swamp areas were filled, people began living there. Subsequently Nassau and Suffolk as well as Staten Island became the dump for New York. Now people are living there too. <br />However, where Long Island actually starts depends significantly on the age of the New Yorker you are speaking with. The newbie will cite the geographical/political demarcations, the old timer will think of where the garbage was dumped.<br /><br />

Our town was one of several on Long Island which broke from the Tory Township of Hempstead in 1777 and supported the American Revolution. There are several major roads going into LI, the most prominent the Grand Central and Long Island Expressway. But since I neither know where the show is or where you are coming from, these directions aren't accurate. But if you fill me in I might be able to help you.

The LIRR has always been a bit mysterious to me though, and that's after 15 years in Manhattan. Thanks for the neighborly gesture offering help though. Posted By: <b>Gilbert Maines</b><p>I probably would have bet against that because of the costs to transport waste that distance and the fact that Ca.has some of the stiffest environmental regs in the country.<br /><br />But much of that is stupid because a large percentage of hazardous waste can be used as a fuel.
