Posted By: <b>davidcycleback</b><p>Unlikely. The tobacco company was in NYC. Yours is probably just from a studio owned by a guy with the last name Goodwin. This doesn't mean there isn't some related blood between the two Goodwin families.

Posted By: <b>davidcycleback</b><p>The Goodwin studio was in Providence RI. It says so on the back of your photo.<br /><br />Goodwin & Company, the maker of the Old Judge cards, was based in NYC. I would assume if Goodwin & Company had a photo studio, it would be in NYC. <br /><br />Whether Mr. Goodwin of NYC tobacco company fame was from Providence or had residence in Providence, I don't know.<br /><br />The images for the Old Judges were shot by private studios in various baseball cities. I don't know if Providence was on of the cities.
