1911 College Baseball Champions?

Can't find anything that would give me a confident identification.<br /><br /><br />Stuff like this bugs me until I find out.... which is why I don't know why I buy these things. <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14><br />

Posted By: <b>Frank Wakefield</b><p>Guys, that doesn't strike me as the champion baseball team of all colleges and universities in 1911.<br /><br />It looks more like an intramural team that was the "champion" at a college in 1911.<br /><br />Those guys just don't look that dominant or tough. I think a few of us could take them on if we had a few weeks to loosen up.<br /><br />Frank.

The uniforms look nice - I doubt it was an intramural team if such a thing existed.<br /><br />Try the 1912 Spalding guide - probably available as part of the cd set sold on ebay - and just look at the pictures. It's a long-shot, but you never know.
