I don't see many 1909 T204 ramly cards for sale....
Posted By: mark
Are there that few of them or do people hold on to the cards when they buy them? I know they are rare in great condition, i think they are a very nice card to collect. I tend to like portrait poses compared to action photos. thanks

Posted By: joe
I posted on B/S/T board looking for a couple of these. No responses. I think they are scarce if not rare. For some reason anything on post looking for cards usually never garners responses. I must be looking for the rare ones!

Joe

Ty Cobb, Spikes flying!

Posted By: bcornell
Yes, the Burkett looks nice. Before sending it anywhere for grading, however, you should run it under a blacklight and pay particular attention to the upper right corner where there's what looks like a gray spot. An unusually large percentage of t204's get rejected for recoloring - this one looks like a candidate.

Bill

Posted By: Bryan Long
six to be exact with a couple of HOFErs thrown in the mix - I have never found them to be rare by any means. Now I can will say that there is a possibility that they have started to become demanded, but what hasn't in terms of pre-war nowadays? It is a great looking set, whether the cards are really nice or beaters - just my opinion. I started going to for set awhile back, but decided that my budget just didn't fit the bill.

In my opinion they are the nicest looking pre-war cards.

.

Posted By: Peter Thomas
As someone who has put 4 and 1/2 sets together I know it is possible. The Square boarders would be real hard although I did at one time have 2 sets of those. Right now a board menber is just 4 commons away from finishing a set, but has been down to those 4 cards for about a year. I know an older collector in New Jersy who is more than half way there and found a raw Bresnahan that he had graded an 8 at the 2004 National. There is another older man here in Florida that has about 40 cards including a Johnson. I got my cards but accquiring 2 almost complete sets, a very strong group of 20 cards from Dave Forman and about 400 to 500 cards 1 or 2 at a time over 20 years. Sold a complete graded set through Mastro several years ago. Now I have a graded set of 127 cards about 25 duplicate cards with TTT or blank backs and some dups unfortuanatly none that will help Bob in his search for four cards.

Posted By: RayB
I noticed that the SGC 40 T-204 Wallace that Tom Witek had in his eBay Stores at $700 is now gone.
Seems pricey even at Ramly standards, but then again there aren't any other Ramly's on eBay at the moment at all.
Anybody here on the Boards grab that one. I recall it being pretty nice.
RayB

Still looking for my first Ramly.
aja4rayb@msn.com
