OT slightly....Pre-War Baseball Silent Movies
Posted By: Jerry
Since I won this Glass slide of a 1914 Silent Movie starring Home Run Baker, I was wondering how many more baseball silent Movies were made and ran across this website lising them. There was more than I Imagined. Wonder how many survive. Anyway, I just thought it was interesting.

http://www.silentera.com/PSFL/indexes/baseballFilms.html

Posted By: Chad
In the biography of Jack Johnson, Unforgivable Blackness, here's a footnote that describes a film made of Jack Johnson sparring as well as footage of the Chicago American Giants with Rube Foster and Pete Hill, the Detroit Stars with Bruce Petway and the old KC Monarchs featuring Sam Crawford. If it still existed, it would be the only live footage of the early negro league teams. To quote a popular summer movie, "arrrghghghghgghghghghghgh!".

--Chad
