Anybody in NYC know if there's a quick train to the show?

Posted By: Chad
I live in the UES. I wasn't planning on going as I can't really buy anything now but I might run up there to poke around if I can get in and out quick. The website for the show only has driving directions, though and I am without a car. Is there a quick commute by train available?

--Chad

Posted By: NYC folks: Directions to Westchester
It's a little embarassing that I have no idea how to get there. Living in NYC, it's weird how gepgraphically small your world becomes. Growing up in Calif. we thought nothing driving a hundred miles in a day to goof off, but now that I live in the City, you can't even get me into Queens without dragging my butt there.

--Chad

Posted By: PC
You need to get to Grand Central Station -- apologies if you know where it is, but if you don't, it's at 42nd and Park Avenue. There are entrances on the south side of Grand Central on 42nd and on the east and west sides on 43rd. You can also get in on 45th, through the main entrance to the MetLife Building.

Here's a link to the Metro North schedule, showing times from Grand Central to White Plains (click on "Schedules", then on "Metro North"). You'll have play around with the site to get the date you want, and the return times. Buy a round trip ticket before boarding, which is cheaper than buying it on the train.

http://as0.mta.info/mnr/schedules/sched_results.cfm
