PSA error

Posted By: Bobby
Since I go through every auction I stumbled accross this one even though it is a 50's card and out of the district of this board.

But do want to point out that PSA screwed up a card that is numbered. I can understand some older material that is not numbered but something like this is unforgiveable.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320016700619

Posted By: Grffin's
Looks like both PSA and the seller got the year wrong as well. At least they didn't label it Brooks Robinson.

Posted By: Gilbert Maines
This is an entirely new catagory of cards! We have PROOKIES, FROOKIES and now PSAROOKIES. 1957 was Robinson's rookie season, but I agree, I prefer his '58 card. It looks nothing like his actual '57 topps rookie card. Actually, it looks more like his '57 Swift Franks rookie card.

Posted By: jay wolt
Now & then when I get a mislabel, I include it w/ my next order so
I don't get hit w/ any additional shipping charges.
They fix it and ship it back registered on their dime.
You can also hand it to them at any show they set up that you are attending...jay

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis
Bobby

I purchased (sight unseen) a Bobby Richardson Rookie (1957 Topps card) and here
is what I received. Do you want to bet that this card and your card were graded
by the same PSA Grader ?

Posted By: Bobby
You think it would be fairly simple to make sure the number on the back matches the plastic tomb. If the grader screwed up then the next person who seals them should also look to make sure they match. Poor quality control...I can understand when they put the wrong year on a exhibit card or a tough set with no card numbers but this is just plain dumb.
