A year ago, I didn't know who Cap Anson was... now I am able to look at photographs and a face evokes a vintage player name. Similarly I am kind of amazed that I am able to name many T206s at first glance without reading the name on the bottom (more often than not).<br /><br />Anyway, I purchased the photo on the off chance it might be Cap Anson.<br /><br />Looks a bit like him? Maybe a long lost cousin!<br /><br /><img src="http://www.internetville.com/stuff/cap.jpg">

Morrill" in Worcester Mass... so I guess that eliminates Cap or his neighbors.<br /><br />I didn't know to look for Chicago until I got home with the photo (I probably would have purchased it anyway).<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />

I've been looking for 25 years and still waiting for my first one. I'm 0 for about a million. It probably won't happen, but hope springs eternal.

Could you imagine having $10 million to spend on vintage cards? Ok, it's time for me to wake up and keep looking... <br /><br />You know the old saying... I actually thought "Cap Anson" when I saw the photo... now I know it is not him... but putting faces with vintage card names --- I think that means I officially am spending too much time on this stuff!<br /><br /><br />Fred - the big 'find' will come - keep looking. Eventually we will all realize that it is the search that is what is the most enjoyable part. The journey not the destination. Thats what its all about.<br /><br />

Posted By: <b>davidcycleback</b><p>Collecting antique photos is in and of itself a hobby. It doesn't have to depict someone famous to be collectable.<br /><br />Photos can be interesting when you don't know who is the person. For example, you can speculate what this person did for a living.
