Old Mill Brown Back
 

Posted By: <b>Joe D.</b><p>Looking through my Southern League Old Mills, I saw the "faded black" and also the black... and then one looked brown.<br /><br />SGC did not designate it a brown back. I asked them why not?, and showed them the card next to a black back... "Thats a very good question" as the person took the card back to the grader and came back and asked "why do you think it is a brown back?"....<br />I answered "ummmm.... because it looks brown".<br /><br />Anyway I was told under the light you could see it was not brown, even invited to look under the light... I did and quite honestly - I still think it is a brown back.<br /><br />So, I am holding onto the card -- until I see "an official" brown back in person to compare it to. <br /><br />I scanned the the brown (left) next to a black old mill at the same time as one scan...<br /><br /><img src="http://www.internetville.com/stuff/OMBrown.jpg">
