T206 replicas
Posted By: Mark Evans
I just saw postcard replicas of T206 cards for sale at my local Barnes & Noble. Each box contains several copies of 8 different cards including Cobb, Johnson and Mathewson. It caused me to wonder whether interest in vintage cards has made a further inroad into mainstream culture. [Edit--if this has already been discussed, please feel free to ignore.] Mark

T206 replicas
Posted By: drc
The T206 Honus Wagner is itself famous outside of baseball and card collecting. When the PSA8 was last sold, it was reported and pictured in the British press, including the BBC.

Many people buy postcards for the aesthetic appeal and often don't have more than a casual knowledge of the subject. I've bought postcards of mountains and am no expert in mountainology or mountaineering.

And be even more careful not to judge people by their coffee mugs. I once drank out of a 'World's Greatest Grandmother' mug.
