Posted By: <b>drc</b><p>They appear to be scraps with advertising, perhaps a trade card-- though I don't beleive trade cards were die cut like this. There are 1890s non-sports scraps with advertising on them also. They Spaldings are scarce and, as noted, often found with parts broken off.

They're neat little diecut cards, I recently bought the same one you did with a $40 BIN on ebay <img src="/images/happy.gif" height=14 width=14>. You have to be careful with them though, it is not uncommon for the head or tip of the bat to break apart from the rest of the card.
