Posted By: <b>joe</b><p>How could a person believe a card is worth $250,000 but not get it graded?<br /><br />Not trusting "mailing in the card" is understandable (as mentioned on the eBay listing)... but why not head down to a show and talk to the guys from SGC... they will grade while you wait --- or for a card with that kind of value (if it is that valuable) - I am sure they would work something out.<br /><br />Doesn't make sense at all.<br /><br />oh... and shipping insurance is optional?<br /><br />What I want to know is... how much does it cost to do a $250,000 buy it now listing on eBay?<br /><br />Its all a little bit out of whack if you ask me.

Posted By: <b>James Feagin</b><p>I don't own any Ruth's but I've seen a few in my day. IMHO the 1933 Goudey #53 is only the 3rd best card (in appearance) of the 4 in the set. The full batting pose is my favorite, followed by the "looking back" shot, with #53 Goudey Yellow following. I feel the Goudey red batting is a very boring and ugly card.

But, the 1949 LEAF<br />Babe Ruth card gives me "flashbacks" to the early Spring of '49 when I opened<br />a Red-White-Blue Leaf pack and gazed with amazement at this Ruth card. I was<br />only 10 years old; and, in the Summer of '48 I had put together an album of all<br />the newspaper clippings on "the Babe" when he had passed away.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.freephotoserver.com/v001/tedzan/baberuth49.jpg">
